Anti-Spam Policy
A notification only has value if the member wanted it. Anything else is noise in a personal inbox, and it damages the platform that sent it. We therefore treat unwanted mail as a breach of contract, not as a statistic.
Our ground rules
- We only deliver mail for members with a confirmed account on the sending platform.
- Notification preferences set by the member are applied to every single message, not reviewed once a month.
- Member addresses are neither traded nor pooled between platforms, not even when the same company runs them.
- Platforms that buy, rent or scrape addresses are not accepted as clients, and existing ones are dropped.
What we treat as abuse
- Mail to people who never created an account or never confirmed their address.
- Notifications about activity that did not take place, sent to lure someone back.
- Hiding the platform behind a neutral sender name.
- Opt-out links that require a login, a payment or a reason.
What happens after your report
- You get an acknowledgement, and we identify the platform and the notification stream from the headers.
- Where the report is plausible, that stream is stopped first and examined afterwards.
- Confirmed abuse ends our work for that platform; the address concerned is suppressed permanently.
- Blocklist operators receive the facts they need from the same contact address.
Report a notification
If a message reached you that you never asked for, forward it to us with its full headers. That is enough for us to find the platform and the account behind it.
